Upon entering the Imagine Nation Museum visitors will enter a world of pure imagination and blowing bubbles where each child will receive a personalized piece of chocolate, where five lucky winners will receive a golden ticket with a prize. In addition to learning how chocolate is made children will enjoy a variety of interactive activities: a chocolate river and playdough station, a bubblegum blowing contest, a chocolate chopstick challenge,face painting, a building project with large pieces of chocolate, and a bakery where children can shop for sweet treats. Judy Fritz from Price Chopper Kids Cooking Club will be leading hands on chocolate activities. The movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory will be shown throughout the evening. I'm running the Mayor's Marathon in Anchorage Alaska in honor of Jamie Botteon, a 16 year old from Bristol, who was diagnosed in December 2009 with leukemia (AML) and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

The group is also open to family members, people who are preparing for bariatric surgery and for those who are exploring their options for the procedure. A registered nurse from Bristol Hospital’s Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Department conducts this simple test that helps measure the health of the lungs. The test is for anyone, but may be particularly helpful to those who smoke or who have smoked in the past and are concerned about the functioning capacity of their lungs.

The Bristol Hospital Wellness Center, 842 Clark Avenue, Bristol, will offer a six-week Zumba class beginning Thursday, February 25, from 5:15 to 6 p.m., or Friday, February 26, from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Zumba is a dance-based class that uses a combination of Latin and International music. It is a cardio-based workout that offers some components of resistance/sculpting training to tone the entire body from top to bottom and from inside out.
According to instructor Linda Clemons, the class is for everyone. “The music, the steps, the moves, the feel are unlike anything you have ever experienced before,” she said.
